Lenovo's laptop is unique in that nearly all of the best-performing, budget gaming laptops we'd recommend run some version of an Intel processor. Its built-in Lenovo Vantage software is set to "Performance" by default, instead of "Balanced" or "Quiet," so you'll get the best possible performance from this laptop right out of the box. Its single-core performance didn't dominate on our benchmarks, but its 3.3GHz chip (featuring six total cores and 12 threads) was at least able to deliver average results. The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3's AMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor does an okay job with lightly threaded applications. This gaming laptop's Ryzen 5 6600H CPU isn't a slouch for the overall price. What we like Decent single-core performance However, you're better off looking for an IdeaPad Gaming 3 with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, at minimum, than paying a ton for memory upgrades that won't do anything to enhance your gaming. Lenovo's IdeaPad Gaming 3 laptop comes in a variety of configurations, and you can adjust the laptop's memory or internal storage as needed.
